New Zealand Transport Agency and WDM Strengthen Partnership with Renewed Contract

WDM New Zealand has secured a further five plus one, plus one contract with the New Zealand Transport Agency. The renewed contract will run until 2032 and see WDM successfully delivering SCRIM & HSD data for the agency, as the State Highways and Road Condition Survey operative.

As part of the agreement WDM will continue its previous work, undertaking annual network surveys to support the agency in maintaining and managing the State Highway network.

WDM New Zealand responded to a formal request issued by Waka Kotahi for suitably qualified road condition and skid resistance survey providers, committed to providing survey services for New Zealand’s State Highway network. The company was chosen as the preferred supplier after submitting a proposal highlighting extensive expertise including over 30 years of experience working in New Zealand.

The State Highways Maintenance and Renewals Programme is a key part of the State Highway network strategy, and the surveying programme delivers data that will inform the planning of work on the network. WDM New Zealand is established at delivering reliable and accurate asset data required to determine evidence based decision-making processes, site selection and prioritisation necessary for the programme.

Chris Gardiner, Chairman of WDM said:

With the new contract officially agreed WDM New Zealand is enthusiastic to be participating in new opportunities within a changing local authority market, with the REG/CCDC steering group working on a national Skid Resistance Policy, WDM N.Z. is looking forward to a steady stream of L.A. testing in 2025/26.
