Health, Safety and Facilities Management Leader
W.D.M. Limited is the largest manufacturer of road survey machines and the biggest provider of road condition survey services in the UK. Job Description
- Lead H&S management objectives established by the company, ensuring continual improvement and compliance with ISO standards.
- Prepare, conduct and report:
- Internal audits;
- Safety tours;
- Accident/incident and near-miss investigations;
- Risk assessments; and
- Safe systems of work.
- Proactively support the maintenance and development of the company’s management system.
- Prepare and deliver training programmes for which you have knowledge, skill and competency.
- Undertake a programme of continual professional development to maintain knowledge, skills and competency.
- Facilitate audits from BSi, other certification bodies, customers and other interested parties.
- Provide support to W.D.M. group operations in overseas territories.
- Manage company properties and facilities.
- Engage with current and new contractor’s coming onto company sites.
- Develop and maintain control systems for estate and facilities management.
- Provide ‘out of hours’ support.
Key Skills & Experience
- Qualifications at Level 3 e.g. A-level, BTECH or equivalent.
- NEBOSH Certificate and/or an IOSH qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good ICT skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and, ISO 14001:2015.
- Internal auditing knowledge and skills.
- Estate and facilities management skills.
- Experience managing staff.
Mandatory Requirements
- NEBOSH Certificate and/or an IOSH qualification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Applicants must have existing legal rights to work in the UK.
Additional Information
- This is an In-person role based in offices on the north-east outskirts of Bristol (BS16).
- Full time 37.5 hours per week.
- Salary: £38,000 + benefits.
