Hack the Pandemic
June 2020
During the pandemic, W.D.M. Limited were the first company to get involved and supply the Bristol voluntary group “Hack the pandemic” with essentials for their project.
They loaned the group their 3D printer and were also able to donate some funding, printing filament, gloves, breathing masks and other essentials to keep the pop-up emergency PPE factory running.
By the beginning of June, the Hack the Pandemic group has supplied well over 10,000 visors and many more other products to those on the front lines.
The group is directly responsible for multiple hospitals and medical establishments being able to continue working over the previous 10 weeks.
Chris Gardiner, MD of W.D.M. Limited, said the Company was proud to have been able to help. “This has been an unprecedented response in what have been difficult times.”
Hack the Pandemic is still operational and is now supplying face coverings, breathing mask clips and door mates to vulnerable people and key workers such as schools and police.
