- To undertake wiring of both production and prototype equipment.
- To work from drawings, sketches, verbal or written instructions when required.
- To assist with the training and re-training of new or existing employees.
- To undertake other duties as may be reasonably expected from time to time.

Design Engineer.
W.D.M. Limited is an industry leader located in Bristol specialising in the design, production and operation of multi-function high technology highway surveying vehicles. The Research and Development Department at W.D.M. Limited offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced LabVIEW developer to contribute towards the continued success of the company. This position involves designing, implementing, commissioning and documenting real-time LabVIEW systems for a range of highly sophisticated highway surveying machines. The individual needs to be an enthusiastic team player, eager to resolve issues by creating solutions and implementing them.
The full time position is based at our offices in Bristol. A competitive salary will be offered together with 25 days annual leave per year
Skills/Qualifications:-
- BSc in Electronics or Electronic Systems Engineering
- NI Certified LabVIEW developer (CLD).
- LabVIEW RT and LabVIEW FPGA experience is a plus.
- Experience with National Instruments PXI and CompactRIO platforms is a plus
- Strong background in data acquisition with hardware knowledge of power supplies, sensors, transducers and signal conditioning.
- Working knowledge of programming in C and C++.
- Document designs with regard to CE, i.e. technical files and ability to create operating manuals
- Able to carry out risk assessments for Health and Safety requirements.

Professional Engineer with specific expertise in the design of specialist vehicle bodywork and chassis mounted components.
W.D.M. Limited is an industry leader located in the Bristol area specialising in the design, production and operation of multi-function, high technology road surveying vehicles.
We are currently seeking an engineer who can apply a disciplined approach to the task of design and development of mechanical systems, in particular to vehicle bodywork and chassis mounted components, with a view to achieving National Small Series and Individual type approval under the UK Road Vehicles (Approval) Regulations 2009. It is assumed that you will have experience with computer aided design packages and specific advantage would be gained by being able to demonstrate knowledge and experience with AutoCAD Inventor.
Responsible, through the Production Manager, to the Director for Electro/mechanical design, your duties, although not exhaustive, will initially be to assist the Company as detailed below:-
- Provide research and design expertise in the development of Company products.
- Liase with engineers of other disciplines in order to enhance the cohesion of the final design.
- Support the assembly and production of Company products based on in house design.
- Support the Company’s civil engineering and survey services during operation of the Company’s products.
- Provide design detail in order to allow traceability for the design process.
- Provide the necessary information for risk assessment/records.
- Provide the necessary information in order to assist in the production of operating manuals for Company products.
